Childrens Pond Water Protection Safety Netting Supports - KOIEF005

Childs Safety Support Fittings For Our Netting - KOIEF004

We make these support rods out of six ml mild steel, specifically for our safety netting. These are for the soft ground areas around your pond. They are one foot in length, and now come in packs of twenty. We recommend that they are spaced at one foot apart, because of the safety element. The netting will not break, so the weakest link is how the netting is secured. That is why we recommend spacing them at one foot apart. If bought with our netting their is no postal charge.

The finest air pump for all ponds, Koi included - KOIEF009

Because I have kept Koi Carp for thirty five years, I get my customers asking me what do I recommend for their ponds, apart from the normal pump, filters etc. I always state that you should have an air pump, without a doubt, because it can be the Saviour of your beloved fish. Its the ideal thing to have in humid weather and also keeps areas clear of ice, which I expect was needed on many ponds this winter. Now apart from this, if your main water pump gets blocked, jammed impeller, or packs up completely because of overheating especially when you are on holiday, (I only just new how to spell that because I have never had one) my Koi Carp don't allow it, my wife is always arguing with them. Anyway your air pump again is your Saviour. I have had umpteen air pumps one had little pistons on the outside that you had to keep on oiling. It was like a little steam train but all the others had Diaphragm's. I used to have to renew the Diaphragm's periodically as they vibrated and were noisy. They were not very expensive but you had to buy more in the long run. Anyway I bought a Medo LA45B air pump manufactured by Nitto Kohki Ltd of Japan. It Is a Linear Motor Free Piston System which I have been using for many years now. Yes it is more expensive because it is so good but this is the one that I recommend. And yes there are allot of other pumps much cheaper, I have been there and done that. I wish I had had someone whom I could have trusted years ago with their experience of thirty five years to point me in the right direction with air pumps etc etc instead of me wasting so much money. Well the Electro-Magnet and return spring alternatively drive the piston inside the cylinder, the mechanical resonance of which is synchronized with the input current cycle. In a single mechanism, the piston combines the functions of two normally independent devices, a pump and a motor.. Compact and Lightweight, Low Vibration, Instant Response, Automatic Pressure Adjustment, Longer Durability, Low Noise Level, Clean Operation-Clean Air, Minimal Pulsating Effect, Low Power Consumption, Easy Maintenance. Well there you have it, not many shop keepers stock them because they are to expensive. So they sell the cheaper models instead, less outlay and more turnover I suppose. Plus nine times out of ten they are only sales people and not Keepers of Ponds and of our beloved Koi and related of course, One of my ponds has some Gold Fish, Tench Grass Carp etc. Anyway this Medo LA45B has been keeping my two ponds healthy and free from ice for many years. Trust Me. Items that go with the pump are Rubber connectors, an air valve so that you can keep an eye on the out-put pressure, a six-way steel manifold, six ceramic air stones, and fifty mtrs of air line.
